Panorama Boys Make Big Waves at STATE PEE WEE CHAMPIONSHIP:

Grinnell, IA, June 28, 201047th Annual Larry Crawford State Pee Wee Championship

Panorama Boys made the best of a windy day at Grinnell Country Club during the State Pee Wee Championship today and brought home plenty of hardware. Will Babcock fired a 9-hole score of 38 and was crowned State Champ in the 10-year old division. This is Will's fifth State Title as he was also champion at Age 5, 7, 8 and 9. Kolby Shackelford was Runner-Up in the 8-year old division missing 1st place by one stroke. George Appleseth playing in his first State Pee Wee finished 4th in the age 11 group. Trevor Babcock had a great 18 hole round and was a trophy winner finishing 5th place in the 12-year old Division.

2010 LPN Junior Golf School

The Junior Golf School for 2010 was put on in the month of June and finished at the Par 3 West golf course with a Pizza Party.

Guthrie County State Bank & Lake Panorama Association were once again the title sponsors for this school.

The kids had a blast during the school.

George Appleseth and Will Babcock both fired a 9-hole score of 41 at Pheaseant Ridge GC in Cedar Falls and tied for 3rd Place in the 10-11 year old class. Ben Bermel of Cedar Falls was 1st Place. Trevor Babcock finished 6th place in the 12-13 Age Division.

LPN’s George Appleseth wins Iowa Pee Wee Tour Kick-Off

The Pee Wee Tour Kick Off was held at Jester Park GC in Grimes, IA on Friday, June 11. George took home 1st Place and Will Babcock finished 3rd in the 10-11 Age Division. LPN’s Kolby Shackelford finished 5th in the 7-9 Age Group.

The season opener Junior Tour Kick Off was held at Pheasant Ridge GC in Cedar Falls on Thursday, June 10 with 131 juniors ages 21 & under participating. There was a 3 hour rain delay but play resumed and all finished. The Iowa PGA would like to thank title sponsor The Principal Charity Classic for their support of the 2010 Iowa Junior Tour.
